Review and Approve Emails Using the iPost Approval Feature


The iPost Approval Feature streamlines workflows, enhances efficiency, and fosters collaboration by providing a structured review and approval process.

Managed Services: Review & Approval Process

1. Receive a Notification

  • You will receive an email notification from an Engaged Nation Agent when an email is submitted for approval.
  • Click the link in the email to open the Approval Feature and review the email content.


2. Data Tab: Proofing & Verification

The Data Tab links your data table to the Approval Request at the time of creation.

  • In the right-hand panel, select the Data Tab to view the data.
  • The Data Panel displays all demographic fields (All Contacts) and attributes from the selected data table for the chosen contact.
  • Expand the Attributes Sections to maximize the Data Panel view.
  • Above the Preview Area, use the dropdown menu to select a contact from the data table for preview.

Switching Data Tables

To preview a different data table:

  1. Click Browse to open the Select Sendable Data Table(s) modal.
  2. Use the Search Data Table function or navigate the Data Table Tree to locate the required table.
  3. Click the table name and select "Choose" to update the preview.



3. Comments Tab: Adding Feedback

  • Click the Comments Tab to annotate the email with feedback.
  • Click directly on the section you’re referencing to add a comment.
    • Comments can be minimized, highlighted, resolved, or replied to.
    • Click Save to confirm your comment.
  • To submit comments and notify the submitter and other reviewers:
    • Select "Request Changes" from the Approval Options dropdown in the upper-right corner of the Approval Feature, then click "Confirm".
    • The submitter will make updates and resubmit the email for review.

4. Approval Process

  • If the email meets all standards, select "Request Approval" from the Approval Options dropdown.

  • If you are the Final Approver, click "Approve" and "Confirm"—the email is now ready to send.

Self-Managed: Review & Approval Process

Initiating a Review Request

You can request a review from the Email Dashboard drop-down menu or while previewing the email:

  1. Click "Request Review."
  2. Select yourself and/or the appropriate users as Reviewers and Approvers.
  3. Click the "Table" radio button under Preview as to search for your data table for proofing.
  4. Enter a message (if necessary).
  5. Click "Submit Request."Image Placeholder


Accessing the Approval Feature

  • Follow the link in your email notification or access the Approval Feature directly.
  • Navigate to Email > Email Approval from the left-hand menu.

  • The Approval Feature Dashboard is sorted by email creation date—click the magnifying glass icon to use the search bar to find an email request by name.
  • Click on the email name to open it.


Starting the Review Process

  1. In the Approval Options drop-down menu, click "Start Review" and "Confirm" to enable email annotation.
